How to set up Outlook Express for Newsgroups.
Step 1
Connect to the Internet and Launch Outlook Express. At the menu at the top of the screen,
select "Tools" and then "Accounts."
Step 2
In the Internet Accounts window, select the News tab. Click "Add" and then "News."
Step 3
An Internet Connection Wizard will appear. Type your real name in the Display name
field. Then click Next.
Step 4
Type in your email address and click Next.
Step 5
In the News (NNTP) server: field, type news1.tbdsl.com or the name of the
other news servers provided. Then click Next.
Step 6
Click Finish
Step 7
Click Close.
Step 8
Outlook Express will now prompt you to download newsgroups.
Make sure you are still
connected to the Internet (otherwise reconnect) and then hit Yes.
Step 9
That's it! You may now begin searching for newsgroups of your interest.
